…I’m gradually trying to twist Verna’s arm into writing something herself for this blog. I’ve just about got her talked into it, so hopefully in a few days I’ll be able to upload something.

Meanwhile, I’m veering off my plan to upload artwork roughly chronologically. I thought that showing some images from “The Buddy Book” might be interesting.

This was a project Verna worked on earlier this year as a backhanded “tribute” to a character out of her past who made life especially interesting for her a couple of years ago.

The inspiration was from those “activity books” which many of us are familiar with from our childhood, and you can still find in drugstores and supermarkets. They are printed on cheap newsprint-grade paper, and consist of line drawings for kids to color, puzzles, games and other stuff meant to keep the little blighters busy.
