“A definite must see for anybody who is in a 12 Step Program”

Someone made this statement in the user comments section of IMDB about this movie. I have to agree with it. Aside from an extremely strong performance by James Woods (I think he won an Emmy) it is dramatically extremely strong and complex.

The direction, cinematography, costume and production design are all top notch; much better than you’d expect for a made-for-TV movie. The DVD version we saw also had a very good 14 minute “Making of…” featurette.

I would add: not only essential view for people in program, but for people who love or who are otherwise affected by a problem drinker.
