Why, Halloween of course! (Just kidding). Well, this is an arty craftsy blog, not a political one, so what we have today are some creations from Verna’s fevered mind based on artificial pumpkins sold at craft stores. These are about 6 inches across, and made of a light papier-mache type material.
The first one is some kind of mutated cat creature with old forks for claws.
Candy corn for teeth. A decorated stair part for a stand. A painted cattail for a tail (logically).

I’ve pretty much decided I’m not going to decorate the outside of the house this year. The vandalism episodes have me pretty spooked. I’m just going to focus all the decoration on the inside of the house. It’s sort of sad since Halloween used to be my favorite holiday and last year I counted just about 100 kids who came by. There’s always the teenagers who want to ruin things, I guess.
