Donna the Dead is our buddy who helps scare young trick or treaters. We bought her at 90% off one year at a local store that carries Halloween stuff seasonally. She is mounted on a motorized armature and makes scary noise when someone gets close to her. Is it any wonder she’s still single? Little kids sometimes really do get scared the way we have her set up so we have to soothe them or bring the parents up a  bit closer.

The headscarf and glasses seem to add something, nicht wahr?

We leave her set up to enjoy in the studio all year round.

As mentioned elsewhere, Verna got very interested in Mexican Dawn of the Dead artwork. This is a really cool piece. It’s just a folded cardboard altar which is packed flat and folds out into this beautiful thing. It’s about 14 inches high, beautifully designed and colored. Who says you need to spend a lot of money on neat decorations?
