…as it were…
As we run across them, we’re going to occasionally add some links to this page to the odder artists, the “anti-Kinkades” as it were. We realize that that the hippest artists and connoisseurs will scoff at our inclusions, since there are those who feel that as soon as anyone knows about a particular artist (or musician, or writer, …) perforce they can’t be “outsiders” anymore. In general their work will not be decorative or pretty, but intriguing if not disturbing.
Anyway, if you’re not familiar with them, check out those links and they will take you to strange places.
Currently we enjoy the magazines Juxtapoz, Hi Fructose and Beautiful Decay to keep up with the lo-brow/graffiti/skatepunk scene.
